I like Quadratec except for the fact that I'll often order online (it's just faster and easier than calling) and a day later I'll get an email saying the part isn't in stock and is on backorder. I simply won't do back order so I usually cancel the order and that results in my having to call, be put on hold for awhile and then take the time to explain and cancel the order.
Fortunately Q-Tech does NOT charge your credit card before it's shipped out.
so you don't have to deal with that BS (I hate when companies charge for parts they don't have!!) but it can be inconvenient to be counting on getting something and then have to take the time to cancel and look around for a new source.
I was told by one salesman that he could arrange to have a part drop shipped directly from the manufacturer, which is a nice option so if the part is backordered that's something to keep in mind.
However, if you want to avoid the situation from the start I found that the chat feature that comes up when you check out on the website is useful. Today I wanted to order a part and was debating about whether I should call first since this week alone about half the items I ordered from Quadratec turned out to be out of stock and on backorder.
It would be NICE if the website had a feature that told you if a part was in stock but short of that, a good option is to go on the chat (took about 10 seconds to connect with a sale person) and inquire if a part is in stock. I was told "yes" and proceeded to order the part. It's a nice option to have.
Another nice thing would be to have an option to cancel an order online if a part isn't in stock and backordered rather than have to actually call. It would make it easier and decrease call traffic as well. Just a thought.
