Had a feeling I should have ordered elsewhere.

I called today to ask if a bumper was really in stock as claimed according to the product page.

Poison Spyder 17-59010DB - Poison Spyder Brawler Lite Front Bumper with Brawler Bar & D-Ring Tabs for 07-16 JeepĀ® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

The rep told me it was so I asked how it would ship and I was told FedEx. Great! I also asked where the item was located so I could get a timeframe on delivery and he told me it was at the Nevada warehouse.

I immediately placed the order through the web site and a few minutes later I notice the status page I have attached.

I am pretty early in the mod stages of my Jeep and still need a rear bumper, flat fenders, winch, lights, you know the deal. I was about to order front and rear PSC Crusher Flares from Quadratec this coming Monday but needless to say I am reconsidering.

I guess I will post another issue that frustrated me about Quadratec. Granted, I let this issue slide since was unable to make contact with anyone the evening the package arrived. I had wheels and tires on the way and was able to work around the issues.

Ordered a Teraflex hinged carrier and adjustable mount. Hinged carrier showed up in a large box with a few pieces of brown paper as packing materials. Item was not very secure and the box was damaged. The adjustable mount was packaged securely in a Teraflex white box.

I was amazed that the hinged carrier had shoe prints, damaged rubber isolators, used washers, plus a mark where a stock sized tire had been mounted (tire touches the carrier when properly installed). Also missing was the Torx key that they provide.

It became apparent that this was a return from a previous customer, repackaged in a non-teraflex box and sold as a new item with missing and damaged parts.

The adjustable mount contained the same rubber isolators at the hinged carrier so luckily I could get around the fact that the other ones were damaged. The shoe prints washed off and the mark from the tire the previous owner mounted almost disappeared but would be covered by the 37" I would be carrying so I decided to just deal with it.

Now, I can't blame Quadratec for not fixing the issue because I just let it go even though I figured they might attempt to do something to fix the issue. The biggest thing on my mind was thinking that someone had to open the box after the return to the warehouse to account for the returned items and not just a box of bricks or something. In turn they had to see what I seen when I opened the box. Either the responsible employee or management just passed it off for a new item deceptively. A $486 dollar part at that.

I am just bummed that they are a close vendor that can have parts to me in a day or two if everything goes right but two orders in a row with issues seems a bit much.

I got great service from Quadratec, ordered Coverking Seat covers last week and the front passenger seat seam was bad, thought I would need to contact Coverking for warranty claim, called Q to check....they immediately sent me a whole new set and told me to take the one I need out and put my defective one back in the box and ship back with a label they emailed me....when I called it shipped the same day...
