Not So Great Communication Service Experience

Just wanted to relate a not great experience I had. To be fair, this is in contrast to my previous experiences, which is why it kind of bugs me. I ordered the SB 2781 HD Air Compressor after communicating with [email protected] Quadratec via email. All my emails to him were responded to quickly with great info. I decided to go with the SB unit because it came with 4 tire deflators as part of the deal. I was going to go with another compressor and some JT Pro's, but for the price, performance and free deflators I decided to get that one. At the time I ordered it Rob told me the deflators were out of stock and would be sent later, which I was fine with.

A few weeks later I saw that the 4 deflators had been replaced on my order page by the RAD Unit which I already have the Currie version of. I emailed Rob 3 or 4 times about this, asking if I could maybe get a credit toward the JT's or some other resolution since the reason for buying the setup I did was in part because of the deflators. No response at all. I did get an out of office once that said he would be back the next day, but several emails had been sent since then and no response.

I also PM'd Quadratec here and go no response. I know it probably is not like this, but it FEELS like they are just ignoring me. It is frustrating and does not seem like the norm, but that was my latest experience.

Quadratec gives a good discount to members here and I appreciate it, but one bad experience does sour it a bit. Not a huge amount of money and a response telling me sorry they can't do anything would have been better than crickets. I understand folks get busy but I figured sometime during the month or so they could have answered an email or PM back.

I have found that if something is important enough that I am going to be upset about it a phone call is a good idea. While I have had mostly great experiences with QT, I have had one less than great experience with QT. But when I brought it to Ricks attention he worked to make it good. And in the end that is what counts, not how people / companies act when things go well but how they act when things don't go well. While emails and PMs are nice, if something is important a phone call is a good idea. Emails and messages get missed.

Fair point and you are correct. I tried staying with the person I had been talking to but I should have called.
