Which brake upgrade for my needs?

I read in a Quadratec email today that you're offering two different brake upgrades, called Z23 and Z36. They talk about need with taller tires -- that's not my problem.
During the summer, I tow almost every day a 3,000 lb boat+trailer, without trailer brakes, about 5 miles over very, very steep mountain roads to a local lake. Sometimes I sense a little fade at the bottom of some of these roads.
I also tow a camping trailer, but at least that one has electric brakes and I never feel any problems with that.
So, which package, Z23 or Z36, would be better for my heavy towing needs.
Thank you.

no brake kit for my trailer axle is available

Hi. I agree, as I like my camper's brakes. But my boat trailer is old and I can't find an add-on brake kit for its axle.

The Z23's are designed for DD use. They have dual rubber-backed shims. The Z26's are designed to be better for larger tires or high horsepower. They have premium stainless shims.

Hope this helps.

Have a great night!
