Hackberry trail in may?

Myself and others have been wanting to do this run for a while. So, let's get my people with your people and run it in may. 4th or 11th?

I ran it about 3 years ago when my jeep was stock. It was a very unpleasant experience. I usually don't have requirements when planning a run so everyone can go, but this is not one of them. I would say a minimum of 33's, but 35's and up would be preferred. And lockers is a big plus. The only reason i made thru it with a stock jeep were due to my lockers. And skid plates. Skid plates are highly recommended too. This is a steep ascent/descent trail with very loose rocks and boulders. There is a bypass a few miles in, but it's not pretty either. We do leave the same way we went in (unless someone knows a different way out back to civilization). I don't remember any funky off camber angles, just rocks and rocks and more rocks. Did I mention rocks?

If anyone is down for a little more challenging run, get your people with my people.

Pretty sure I’m in for this, either weekend should work. Hackberry has been on my bucket list for a looooong time!
A friend of mine has run Hackberry quite a few times, I’m pretty sure he’s a member here too, anyway I’ll check with him and see if he wants to go also.

I would love to join y'all on this run, but would you be interested in posting it on my Meetup group, East Valley Rockers? If you join I can set you as the host and it can have as many or few Jeeps as you like.

Feel free to post on EVR. Let it be known this trail is NOT for stock jeeps.

May 11 still good?

Good place to meet.

Unfortunately I drop mine off on the 10th for driveshaft and locker install... Won't get it back until the 14th.

You guys have fun... As I miss Hackberry again.

Thanks homegirl.

Myself and 1 other jeep so far. I'm really looking forward to going back with a lift and 37's. Less crunching and cursing. If anyone is still down, we are meeting at the circle k in superior at 9am.

Wow. That was so much easier with a lift and 37's. Less metal crunching followed by colorful language. The trail difficulty has increased. A stock jeep will not make the run now. I'm still not sure I how I ran it 3 years in a stock jeep. Oh yea, I just bounced my way thru with the skid plates assistance. Now, I would say a minimum 35s and lockers. Learned a new route back to civilization without going back thru the unpleasantness. It's trail 315 and is marked along the way. After the rough stuff, it goes to a T. Go right and follow the road to hwy 177, go right and a few miles you are back in superior.

For your viewing pleasure
