Try YouTube if not there's a Facebook page in San Antonio Jeep DIY projects a lot of people like to help on there. I'm sure someone's done it.

I got it up, working great. My concern was all instructions state to mount power hoist on (2) studs centered 16" apart. Due to height of my garge (12ft) I had to use ceiling mount. The joists in my garage ceiling run side to side (width of door) vs. front to back, so I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to mount the hoist the span of a single joist. A framer told me I should be good.....so hopefully he's right. So far so good.

You should be good to go. Yes the hard top is heavy, however, with most hoist systems, the weight gets distributed pretty well and evenly so it's really not holding as much weight as you think. Congrats!

Yea hidden falls is one of the better places to go...there are a few smaller parks but therr usually is a minimum group requirement. There's a few places, mainly power lines. Are you part if ocis?

Thanks to everyone who participated.
Are we on for this year?

Absolutely. Parade is on Saturday, July 1st. Ringo at Lone Star Jeepers is coordinating the parade this year. I will be in Colorado running mountain passes. Go to Lone Star on facebook for details.

Anyone know of a shop that will trouble shoot and fix an electrical issue? I think I have a short or pinched wire somewhere in the steering column.
