Escaped Relationship with Abusive Partner - Jeep Outlet

Hello,
I just escaped a severely psychologically/physically abusive relationship with a textbook sociopath a week ago. Ran away with a restraining order and my Jeep after a year of suffocating. I want to pursue off-roading as an outlet for the trauma but I have never done so before. I could sincerely use some healthy relationships in my life since I was robbed of them all and am still broken beyond recognition. I have always felt an odd safety with the Jeep community (the Jeep Waves on the road kind of made me feel existent when I felt invisible, so please never stop giving those out... they actually mean more than you may think to those who are in need of being seen as alive) and I know people say it is just a car but I felt a connection there I truly wish to nurture. God this all sounds so cheesy but I just would like some kind of breakthrough. Are there any great meet-ups you can suggest? Don't wish to meet one-on-one for reasons I am sure you can all figure out. Or any female Jeepers that can help me piece myself together and dive into my vehicle for a healthy hobby? Thank you for your time.

Congrats on your freedom. Don't know what state you are in but there are a few good people in IL that play in the mud and work on each others rides. Great thing about the Jeep is it wont take more than you are willing to give. I hope you find comfort in your Jeep and build healthy relationships. Good luck and have a great holiday.

Sorry I read this in my Feedly News feed and didn't see it was posted under Nevada. If you make it to the midwest we are always willing to go for a drive.

Hang out on the page. We have a loose group that wheels regularly and many are female. Lots of trails locally to go out and get away from things.

Go to Meetup and find the following or just use Google
Desert wranglers local club
Vegas valley 4X4
Sin city wranglers
Jeep fanatics

We are looking at a run this weekend after Christmas. No location yet so keep checking.

Merry Christmas!!!

Find yourself a jeep club in your area, many do beginner classes and trail runs, and offer a friendly venue for getting into the hobby. Also, jeep jamborees are a very family friendly (single-friendly too) way to meet fellow enthusiasts. It can all get expensive, but like others have said its all in what you want to invest. Jeeps create jobs, relationships, and bring people together!
