Esmeralda County Trails

I live in San Diego and a buddy and I have been all over both Death Valley and the Inyo Mountains, and are now looking further to the White Mountains and Esmeralda County in Nevada for new trail adventures.

Can someone in the know tell me more about the trails in Esmeralda County, just over the state line from Death Valley? I'm thinking of the area from the Sylvania Mountains stretching to the Southeast. The ghost towns and abandoned mines are fascinating!

Has anyone ever done a 3-4 day tour through these mountains and would be willing to share their itinerary? I have no idea about degree of difficulty, access, locked gates, camping restrictions, private property lines, etc. Thanks in advance.
