RV towing with Armor Lite front bumper

I purchased an Armor Lite earlier this year because it was rated for use as a towing attachment point. I went to the website today to check winch compatibility and found a new product for frame tie-in. Do I need to be concerned with towing my Jeep without these additional plates?

I would recommend calling LOD to confirm how you should be configured.

I can tell you the tow bar brackets should be connected to the frame (that is the way my RockHard 4x4 bumper works)

I'm assuming these brackets enable you to connect the tow bar brackets to the frame. Without out these it would appear your brackets may just be connected to the bumper. You DO NOT want to tow it that way, the bracket should go to the frame or in this case another bracket that is connected to the frame.

Hope that helps.

The bumper and attachment points bolt to the plates at the front of the frame. At the time I purchased it, LOD listed the bumper as being rated for towing and they did not sell these tie-in brackets.

I have emailed them directly. I am curious if they have since de-rated the bumper.

Sounds like you are good that is how my RockHard is connected. I doubt you need these.
