Fraudulent credit card charges

I went to 4 Wheel Parts several months ago for new tires. The next day, there was a fraudulent charge on my credit card. The only reason I suspected an issue with 4WP is because I used a card that had been sitting dormant for a year or so. I disputed the charge, got it reversed and then went to 4WP and talked to the manager. He said they have had no issues with CC’s being stolen and apologized for my trouble.

I went to use my debit card last night and it was declined. It was declined again this morning. I called my credit union and they had been two fraudulent charges; one in Indiana and one near Denver. Guess where I had shopped on Wednesday this week? Yup, 4WP.

Could it be pure coincidence? Maybe. Has anyone else experienced this after shopping there? I doubt it’s the company but more likely they’re credit card processor.

For me, anything even remotely associated with 4WP usually had regret and damnation all over it.

I have a number of CCs for different purposes. I get one or two a year that get fraudulent charges and need to be reissued. A week ago it was a $1300 charge on Delta Airlines. I always tell them I need the replacement right away and they FedEx overnight for no charge.

Laying in bed sleeping one morning in Tennessee. CC company calls me up and ask me how I bought gas in Florida at this same time. I dunno. Canceled the card and issued a new one. How’d that happen? No one seems to know.

Mrs. Lucky and I each use debit cards on different accounts. I check the accounts online daily. Through the years, we've had an issue or two, but since we're vigilant and have the charges removes ASAP, there haven't been any problems.

NEVER, NEVER click on an unknown link even in an email from a good friend. The crooks can spoof anyone.

Good Luck, L.M.
