Bicycles with banana seats & butterfly handlebars!

Collecting baseball cards! Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris were 2 of my most coveted cards.

And sissy bars on the back!

If only I'd kept my old baseball cards, and then not treated them so poorly. And I wish I still had all my GI Joe stuff. Three 12" Joes, footlocker full of accessories, sea sled, space capsule, tank, etc etc. I probably threw away a small fortune between that and the cards.

My first car had that. 63 Dodge Polara. In that picture you slid that chrome knob on the left down to put it in park. Good old Torqueflite

How could I forget the sissy bar??? My bike didn't have one! Actually it wasn't my bike! We found it in our front yard, thrown under a juniper bush.

I didn't know that my Mom had kept my baseball cards! You're right G54, I kept them together with rubber bands! I didn't know you weren't supposed to do that. Even with that, and one dog ear corner, my Mantle card was still worth $180.00! I swear I can STILL smell the bubble gum stick in the wrapper the cards came in!

How about upside down bikes, we turned the bikes upside down and welded a pipe where the pedals connect and mounted the seat on that then turned the forks upside down and mounted the handle bars on another piece of pipe, got up high enough so most dogs couldn't bite... kind of tricky getting on though.

When you listened to a song and could understand the words, also the person singing was really "SINGING" not just making a lot of noise.

That is the Selective Service registration number under which I was sent "Greetings" from "a board of (my) neighbors" inviting me to report for immediate induction into the Army.
