I ran a 4' firestick fire fly on the trail, adjustable tip.. did great. I switch back to a shorter one to fit in the garage for daily use though. I might look to get a heavier spring.. being so light it swings around more than I liked. but reception was fantastic.

I use a 3’ firestik. It id more rigid snd wont whip all over the place. The performance is also better.

Use the tallest antenna you can.

As you can see the 3’ just fits into the garage. I did not run a spring or quick disconnect only because of the height.

A 2’ antenna wouldn’t clear the hardtop even with the QD and spring.

I may purchase a 5’ and spring for the road/trail.

Update:

After adding my Metal Cloak 2.5” lift antenna won’t fit into the garage.

So now I have a spring and quick disconnects.

Helps when I have to go through the car wash.

Good to know, love for bacon is timeless. What do we have to do to get a bacon emoji?
