No Jeep Love in Louisiana?

I regularly come and check the threads but there's hardly any action in here. What gives? Also, I VERY RARELY get a Jeep Wave when I see a fellow Jeeper. Does any one else feel the lack of love here in Louisiana? Or is it just me?

They are probably too busy scratching their AZZ and don't want to take their other hand off their NUTZ. Keep waving, maybe you will start a trend

Up here in Pa, I have about a 90% waive ration in the summer time, a little less in the winter. Get more waves with tops down.
It would drive me nuts not to get a large percentage of waves, but I would keep waving. Maybe they will catch on

In NOLA I get zero waves. In Metairie 40% wave. In Kenner 50%-60% wave. Towards Laplace I get more and more.

Lol, nah. It just seems like all the "city-folk" only bought a wrangler to get from point A to point B. The farther from the city, people realize "Oh, the wrangler can get to point C, D, and F with ease, and became more friendlier to other jeepers. Just my opinion.

See, I think that's it. All the soccer moms buying the Saharas because it "looks cute" and they can "sit up high" don't realize that a Jeep can be more than just a shuttle for their kids. I'm not judging. I don't plan on driving up the side of any cliffs with my $40k JKU either, but they can at least wave. I always wave.

Agree with Zapp above. I think most people in NOLA have a wrangler because its one of the most sensible vehicles to own here with the condition of the streets, high insurance rates, people always bumping into your car with all the on street parking/narrow streets. Lots of college/high school students in wranglers - they never wave.

That is why I bought mine when we moved back here after a few years in Dallas where we had nice cars. But I still do the wave cause its cool.

It varies for me. The more modded the Jeep the better chance of a wave.

First Jeep and I was so looking forward to some waive action in NOLA and got NOTHING.... I don't know what to do?? waive and get nothing in return :-) I guess I'll try. Yes I probably won't put the jeep in as much dirt as some others BUT I will and I do already love my car as much as some other more hardcore jeepers.... Let's waive peeps and don't look at your cell phones!

I'm in Slidell and around here most seem to be on their phone and oblivious to the world around them. I'm a waving fool though so if I see you I'll be waving!

I do find that to be the case with the ladies for the most part, but the men that don't wave just seem to be clueless!

Hey! We just bought our first Jeep and when my wife was driving she kept asking why other people in jeeps would wave at her and i said it's the jeep wave just do it back. She had no idea it even existed.

We learned have learned that 4dr hardtops= 0% for a wave and the percent increases with less doors and more mods.

But I agree no one really posts in the louisiana forums. even this one is from 4 months ago.

I just found out we have an LA section of the forum!

In SHV, when I steal the wife's VERY orange TJ, I get head nods all the time.

Keep the faith and proudly wave all two to five fingers as one digit is not nice to your fellow jeepers

Keep a look out for me. I always wave, at least when I'm not too busy dodging idiots that are too bust texting to bother driving!

In town the percentage of return waves seems to get lower than in Walker where it is probably in the high 90's.

Hey I'm from Carencro but I now live in Cypress, Tx near Houston. I get more waves here than I did in La. Maybe it's because the Jeep ratio is larger? I dunno, but I'm a waving fool.
