Northridge 4x4

I made the mistake of ordering a PC from them. Must have been a reason I veered off my normal course but I did.
Less than 30 days and they Will NOT allow me to return my PC.
That was the first line in the email then went on to explain that it would require a 30% restocking fee and I'd be better off re-selling it myself.
Follow ups went back to the "No returns" mantra.
So - the 30 day return of a Pedal Commander doesn't apply.
So much for not being able to return an item when it isn't "satisfaction guaranteed".

Northridge 4x4 got me - once. Never again.

NEVER had an issue like this with other vendors...... next time I will wait for restock at my normal vendors.

That sucks!

Joe Cruz at Morris4x4 has the back of anyone on the forum. I just sent two packages I had for more then 30 days. The only thing he said, "No problem". I give them a majority of my business. The only thing that some people disliked about Morris.. tracking details. They have great tracking, but if you order multiple products at one time you may not know which one it is without calling them first. That's not an issue with me.

Following this thread with interest. I've only had positive experiences with Northridge4x4's sales team, but I am also getting ready to make a high-priced purchase from them and want to see how this is handled. Hopefully the vendor takes the time to respond here.

I have his responses and best I can tell it was from the president of the company not a rep.
His response was as clear as day. It waffled but it was clear.
It went from "Did you install and use it?" to "No Return" to "well, it would be a 30% restock fee and return shipping you'd be better off selling it yourself because we'd have to take a loss on it you wouldn't be happy if we tried to sell you a used part"

Who ever said anything about me wanting them to sell it used as new? What kind of shister is this guy? I love when people talk about doing the right thing like its optional or a favor.
He's in business to represent products and address the needs of his clients/customers for a profit. Part of functioning as a business is returns.
Would anybody buy anything IF it couldn't be returned if they weren't satisfied? No.
I'm not trying to return it because I found it cheaper elsewhere - I simply am not pleased with it in the JL.
Now it's even worse. I unhooked it this morning before Northridge pulled its crap and now my Jeep won't even run.
Regretting ever getting the PC OR doing business w/Northridge ? Yeah just a little.
Lesson learned. I would never buy anything from Northridge4x4 - if you aren't happy with it - NO RETURNS.

My business will stay where it has always been @Quadratec .

This was a momentary lack of reason never to be repeated.

sorry to hear.
When I spoke to Pedal Commander directly, the 30 days "satisfaction guarantee" ONLY applies if you purchase directly from PC. eh.
I wouldn't dismiss Northridge 4x4 too quickly. I could be wrong, but I think it's PCs policy that might be the issue. I have had great experience with Northridge 4x4 on all my purchases and even returns. Maybe they can offer some kind of store credit instead?

I will say I have nothing but great luck with NR4x4. What was your issue with the PC? Was it faulty?

Now I'm not sure. Unhooked it and it has incapacitated the whole Jeep. Before that I found it to surge at low speed and not be smooth in the throttle application.
Not at all like my experience with my JK.
So, within the stipulated 30 return window of PC emailed NR4x4 and apparently they do not honor the manufacturers period of time.
Anyway this has already taken up a ridiculous amount of time.

Bottom line: IF you are in business to sell items manufactured by others than observe their warrantys and representations.
Otherwise your business model doesn't work.
Buy from the source and get A-B-C BUT if you buy from a vendor you get screwed?
Why would anyone buy from the vendor? Russian Roulette?

Also,

30-Day Money Back Guarantee
Your satisfaction is our top priority. We offer a 30-Day money back guarantee to ensure your 100% satisfaction.

This is from PC's website - IF you choose to support this particular vendor/middle man ..... Do so at your own risk.

this it totally my fault. I was trying to help Customer service out this morning since they were slammed and honestly I did not realize that Pedal commander had a 100% satisfaction guarantee for 30 days. I saw this as a part that was installed and then wanted to return and we do not take returns on parts that have been installed. We would never ship a customer a used part.

So again I take full responsibility for this and not knowing the details of the pedal commanders 30 day policy.

I will get the proper people to get this issue handled.

---Update-----

I could not/would not be remiss in updating. After Dave and my miscommunication yesterday and really appreciated him stepping up (a rarity these days) and simply saying 'Hey, I poked the pooch" , the situation has shown NR4x4 and PC for the companies they are.
Meg at NR4x4 is very very nice. Very helpful.
Larry at PC equally so - very nice.

I am going to try some things after discussing with Larry (apparently the guy that writes the code for the maps)

Thank you all for the help.

@Old Dogger - Bill perhaps we can edit the thread title. Don't want the wrong impression to betray the final outcome.

Not sure if Bill will be on today, just let me know how you would like the title to read and I'll take care of it.

Always great to see a resolution. Glad this worked out, and that it was just a miscommunication.

Always had great service, good deals and super fast shipping from Northridge 4x4. I've ordered enough big, heavy stuff that I think my UPS dude hates me.

Ive bought more parts from NR4x4 then I care to make public but I never had an issue with a purchase. They even tried to reach out to Rockhard4x4 to resolve an issue with their shitty coating that rusted in front under a year. Ive been lucky to find promo codes and even caught and underground sale which saved me big bucks. Nothing but props for Northridge4x4 from me.
