STOLEN Jacksonville Wrangler

Hey Y'all,

I have the sad and frustrating news to report that my Wrangler has been stolen along with a few other items (like my wallet and all it's contents...yay me). Yes, the windows were up, the doors locked, no keys inside, etc. in case you were curious. I know chances are slim anyone has seen it or it is even around but I figured I'd give this a shot, the more people know about it the better. If anyone has any info at all or has seen it driving around somewhere I would deeply appreciate knowing, you can just contact me on here and I'll see it (or better yet, let the police know). The license plate is DAF 6966 and is from Michigan (if it hasn't been changed out already).

And just as a public service announcement, you might not be stupid to drop the few hundred dollars to get some sort of tracking system installed in your Jeep...had I known this was going to happen I would have been willing to pay quite a bit to protect my Wrangler.

Here are just a couple of the most recent pictures I have of it. Thanks for reading.

Bump, just to try and have as many people see it as possible. Admins, this will be my only bump - just trying every option I have before I accept defeat. Thanks again for reading.

Hey again all,

Just wanted to update and say that my Wrangler has been found, although whoever the punks are that stole it got away with my wheels, tires, headlights, and a few smaller items. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read and spread the word. Admins, feel free to delete or move as you see fit (or keep it on here to have people think twice about vehicle security ).

Well, at least you found it. Any fingerprints?
Any damage from the thieves? I'd check all the fluids... I probably change them out just in case one of them put something in it. Diffs are probably fine but engine is too easy to add something too.

I believe they found a few so that is a plus. And yeah, some damage unfortunately both on the inside and outside, broke apart the locks on the glove box and center console (despite the fact that they had the key in their hands...criminals are dummies in more way than one). Also ripped up some of the upholstery and the back storage compartment, and completely ripped the grille off and spliced some of the wires, among other things. Looked like all of my suspension components were still there as far as I could see so that is good - just glad I didn't throw on my new control arms before it got stolen. Nothing that can't be fixed I suppose, just more time and money to put into it.

I didn't even think about the fluids, but I'm glad you mentioned it. Might be smart to just play it safe and change them all out - it didn't look like they had been toyed with compared to everything else but still not a bad idea to check., thanks for the idea!

Can I just ask where in the city your jeep was when it was stolen? I work downtown and I'm a little worried sometimes that something might happen. Of course there are many cameras in the parking lot so that's nice.

I work downtown too and it's always in the back of my mind as well.
