Hi all, I'm considering a JLUR and as I look around, I can't believe how many 2018s are still sitting on dealer lots. I'd like to order a 2019, because I want ACC, but it's not a deal breaker if I can get a smoking deal on a 2018.
What kind of deals are you guys getting on leftover 2018s? Given that we're nearly three months into 2019, it seems the should be doing anything they can to push out the old model year. Thanks in advance!
My Scatpack Charger has ACC and it's one of the things I miss most when driving the Jeep. Make sure that deal is amazing if you decide to go 2018 without it. I love love love my first Jeep but wish I had that feature. Best of luck on your search.
I am on the opposite side: I hated ACC on my Chrysler 300 SRT and Dodge Challenger Scat Pack. At first I thought I’d like ACC, until I got it and found it it is one of those things that looks great on paper but doesn’t work that well in real life.
It depends where and how you drive, I suppose. I am highly engaged when I drive: I use the left lane to pass only and expect others to do the same. The problem I had with ACC is that I had to deactivate it to get left-lane squatters to move over. After awhile, I had no use for it.
IMO, ACC is great if you just want to go along for the ride, thinking about anything but driving. Which is perfectly fine. But if you do, do it in the right lane please.
I wouldn’t let ACC be a deal breaker. Find yourself a sweet deal on a leftover 2018.
I completely agree and for that reason, would never want it if it couldn't be set as traditional cruise control for those situations. It's my understanding that the FCA version can do both ACC and traditional. Where ACC's really nice is on two-lane roads with an idiot in front that is going fast enough, but not maintaining a constant speed, or in heavy traffic where traffic is flowing, just slowly and congested.
LOL! That's crazy! 20%+ off of MSRP is the going rate for any remaining 2018. 2020's will be on the lots here in the next couple of month. The 2020 order banks open in just a few weeks.
Just picked up my 2018 JLUR softtop 2.oL. I paid $39k against $47700 MSRP. Traded my 2017 JKUS with just under 36k miles. I have to say the difference between the two is.....damn.....
