Did you get an Owners Manual?

I just purchased a 2019 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I was given a “Quick Reference Guide” and a “Essential Information Guide” but no Owners Manual. When I asked the salesman he replied “you got what we got from Jeep Corp. when I got home I searched the Internet and found a downloadable 608 page Owners Manual. Does Jeep Corp not give paper back copies of Owners Manuals on a $45,000 vehicle? Was I shorted the manual by the dealer or is it standard issue? Your response is appreciated.

FCA has not included owners manuals with any of their vehicles for several years now. However, the first registered owner can request a free copy by mail by calling (800) 426-5337

Mine is in the stereo - Handy. Example: Searchable topics just type in "Torque spec for wheel lugnuts", comes right up.

Call FCA and request an owners manual. I got mine two weeks ago. It will not fit in the glove box due to its size.

Appreciate the help!

Thank you 2nd TJ. I called the number you gave me and they sent me on to Rapid Response at 800-992-1997. As you said, free to 1st owner otherwise $89.99. Again thanks!

That number is for Tacoma Dodge. The correct number is (877)426-5337.

Edit - that lady said i could download it or pay $89.95. I told her the 1st copy should be free to the original owner. She gave me the 800-992-1997 number to call.

Fits in mine, one of the first things i noticed was that the owners manual fit vertically in the glovebox nicely.

My 18 Rubicon had a owners manual, quick guide and other booklets dealing with Uconnect and other stuff in a nice brown canvas folder.

I wonder why some get one and some do not? The guys who are saying they got one - are you referring to the ones that fit in the canvas folding bag? The actual manual is about 1.5" thick and like half a book in size.

I have one on the UConnect screen containing within an app. I also have one on my devices (iPad and iPhone). That’s probably enough owners manuals for me.

Yup, an 1 1/2” thick, in a bag. Just like xKimx’s pic.

Wow, I guess it’d help if I read it first, huh? Sorry about that.

Call or go online for manual

I agree with "Beachrider", over 1" thick and it does indeed fit vertically in the glove box. It also comes along with several " quick reference" booklets, all of which stowe nicely into a green "terrain pattern" drawstring nylon bag. This true OWNERS MANUAL was included upon receiving my 2019 Punk'n Sahara in Dec. A good dealership/salesperson should "do the leg work" for you as you PAID for an item that was absent from the vehicle !

No problem , BUT this site is jus tooo bizarre as to how to download and send JPG files. Ebay about 10 years ago had the same involved procedure, that has since been more user friendly, I repeat user friendly ! If you like, send me your email to [email protected] and I will gladly FOWARD you pics of said manual and all that was included FROM THE DEALER !

Week and a half later and still nothing. Called the number and they are as confused sounding as they were when I requested the manual.
Do I "need" it? Probably not But.... IMO it is a matter of principle.

My Jeep and if I want the manual I should have one. Hoops hoops and more hoops. Hoops everywhere these days.

I wonder..... Cost of just putting one in the damn Jeep so it's there when I got it

or

All this, Phone reps, postage, handling, stocking, etc. FCA genius at work (again)

Funny observation though.... I was reading on the "other" forum about wheel lug nut torque. Somebody was wondering (probably because they are waiting for the horse to deliver their manual) but even after somebody posting a picture of the actual manual page stating the recommended torque specs EVERYBODY that posted after stated that they did not believe the manual and torqued their wheels waaay less than spec'd by like 30%.

So, maybe FCA/Mopar is on to something. In a time of fake news and conspiracy theories nobody believes their lying eyes anyway. The actual manual printed by the company that builds the frigging vehicle isn't even believed so....what value is the manual?

Of btw it's 130 lb/ft in case anyone was curious (59 ft/lb for the spare)

I received mine a week after calling them. It covers everything and yes it’s huge. I don’t understand why it doesn’t Come with the vehicle like my wife’s new Q5 Audi which cost less than my Moab.

Much easier to zip to a specific topic with the PDF version on your computer as well.

Early on, a lot of JL owners that were calling up to get their "free" manual were being sent the JK manual instead. They'd then have to call back and explain that they needed a manual for "the all new wrangler". Maybe they were trying to save on postage by just sending both right from the get go?...
