Grill Inserts Pro's and Con's

I'm considering getting a grill insert and have mixed feelings about it.
Will I have heating issues?
Cut in Ventilation?

Please opine..

I see that you live out here is AZ. as I do. I wouldn't add anything that will block some of the CFM air flow to your Radiator. But that is your call..

I live in Dallas, not exactly Arizona, but this isn't the north pole either. I bought the black plastic inserts that pop in and have noticed no issues at all. They look great, and they do provide some protection from that random rock going through your radiator.

My JK I Added the MetalCrafters insert... To me a catastrophic failure in the middle of nowhere was worth avoiding.

My JL came with Grill Inserts. Adding not an issue.

* No cooling issues in either.
