JLU MOPAR Twill Soft top windows won't snap in

Hey guys!

Now that the weather is getting nicer I was finally able to put my soft top (MOPAR Twill) on today! Everything went smoothly until the very end when I had to put the windows on. The side windows I needed an additional set of hands to do some SERIOUS pulling and stretching to make it fit- still kind of doesn't (the bracket bottom corner couldn't click in completely). And my back window was unable to be tucked in on both sides- even with 2 more sets of hands!!

Is anyone else having this problem? Does the fabric just need to stretch?

Any help is appreciated
Thanks!
Taylor

I put my brand new factory soft top on as well yesterday first time and yes....it was tight. You definitely want it to be reasonably warm out when you do it or at least leave the parts in the sun it helps a great deal. Yeah, the windows almost seems impossible at first. I got it on completely with some effort and left it in the sun and just for the experience stripped it down and did it again. Much easier the second time so helps to have them warmed up and stretched somewhat.

As a side note....check the plastic windows carefully. My rear window was rippled and scratched in an obvious machining defect in two symmetrical lines. Brought it back to the dealer and the photographed it and submitting for a warranty claim.

It will be tight first time especially if the temps aren't hot. 60s may be warm enough for the soft top but not warm enough to soften it up. Give it time and it should get easier.

Thank you! I’m in NY so I don’t think we are going to hit the 60s mark for another week or two but I’m going to park it in the sun and see if I can use the heat from the sun to my advantage. Going to let it roast for a couple hours and try

Thanks again!
