Recommendations needed for mesh top

Hi Guys and Gals, I would like to get some Recommendations, suggestions and feedback on mesh tops for the JLU. I'm heading to Florida next week for Spring Break with the family and would like to purchase a mesh top/sun screen.
I've check out (on-line) Spiderwebshade and Alien and it looks like they are around $150 to $200, which looks to be about $50-$100 more than a similar model for a JKU .
I like that the Spiderwebshade is made in the USA, but $200 feels a tad high.
I know to install I have to fold down the windshield to attached the front. Does anyone know if I have to fold down to remove? That would be a PITA.

Any real world feedback is appreciated.

-BMac

Mesh Top

If you haven't looked at them (one that I am considering also) is the JtopsUSA mesh top. They are a little pricier at around $230, but they cover the whole top (no gaps). they also don't use bungee cords and have straps that will probably last you longer. I have looked at alienshade and spidershade.

Running the alien front and back since November. Random picture from the other day. Didnt have to put the windshield down. The supplied "tool" was actually really helpful for the front cords. If there was a cordless option I'd probably go with that if I was buying again. Also love that I can remove the freedom panels with it still on.

Alien Sunshade, i just got mine and is super cool! Amazon has it also, so you can get it for 139.00 or so. Alien website you can get 10% off as well from 149.00. Good Luck!

My vote is for the SpiderWebShade. The windshield is four torx bolts and takes two minutes. You donít have to put it all the way down or remove the wipers.

Another vote for SpiderShade. Reasonable price, good quality, and made in the USA.

Spiderweb. I have had one only TJ for about 7 years and just had to replace the bungees. Except for being dirty, looks like brand new.

I just put mine on, your putting the straps through the windshield frame , not up and over the top frame, there is a difference. Go to website and read it first if unsure. Mine looks awesome though and took me about an hour to install. Took my time and put the soft top back on, no problem.

I tried to call Alien for some information. No phone # listed. Messaged them 2 times on 2 different days. Still NO response. I was looking to buy 2 front sunshades. 1 for my JL, and 1 for my sons 16 Rubi.
Oh well their loss. Just bought them from SpiderWeb.
I figured if I ever had an issue, it would be like pulling teeth to get it handled by Alien.
IMO, bad customer relations. Beware.

I like to talk to the selling agent. It gives me piece of mind if I have a problem.
Too each his own.

When I pop it'll probably be for the JTopsUSA.... They seem to be the top of the line.
I never had a sunshade but a few times I wish I had one.....

Edit: Seems like a great company. I reached out to the owner and got a reply, very friendly. He directed me to a part of their website where you can order (free) sample swatches of the shade material so you can see what you like.
I asked him based on my Jeep color (GCM) he suggested a Titanium color, I was leaning Black so those were the two I ordered.

I saw you video and saw you were in Fl, and thought I'm going to Florida and I need a sun shade
Great work on the vids, thanks!
