Gulches in Jan or Feb

Thinking about making a trip from southern GA to Gulches in the next month or so. Never been before so I would love to tag along with a small group that knows the park. I have a 2007 2dr with 35s, rear elocker, flatties and very little lift. I like easy to moderate trails that can be challenging but relatively low risk for body damage.

Anybody else planning a trip there?

We periodically head up there. Heading to windrock this weekend but let me know some weekends you may be looking at and we'd be interested in going. Skip owns the park and is super nice. If you give him a call you can ask when he may have some people working there doing some runs. They know the capability of your vehicle and will go easy on you but also show what it can do. If you're ever interested too uwharrie is just a bit further and has some classes on weekends on off-roading too. Never taken one but have been interested to eventually to maybe learn something new. Let me know when you're thinking of heading up and maybe a couple of us can make it then too!

Thanks for the reply! I wasn't sure if anybody would. I have been off-roading for several years but I travel as a General Contractor so I'm always someplace new. I usually just head to a new park and see if there is a group of rigs built similarly as mine then ask to tag along. It looks like Gulches is having a big event presidents day weekend so I was planning to head up there for that! I'd like to make a trip to Uwharrie at some point as well before we move again this summer.

Oh cool! I know they do a big shindig for Memorial Day and Labor Day. I didn't know they were planning for Presidents' Day too. We might have to go for at least Saturday then! If you hit uwharrie let me know!
