First Look: Production Interior of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL/JLU!

There you go, that link works. They also posted a more complete view of the whole interior and some zoomed in pics showing the buttons.

I think it's a big improvement.

I was so hoping that the JL interior wouldn't scream 'FIAT'. But alas,...it does!
That's just my opinion.

So are we getting one of those stupid dial shifters for the automatics? Do engineers never need to make a three-point turn in a hurry?

Was this a joke? Because I did not see a dial shifter, and previous spy shots have shown a traditional shifter for the auto. I don't think this particular model is an auto, but even if it was, don't see where you could fit a dial shifter in that mess that is the center dash.

I don't see an issue with the dial shifter versus auto-stick, not that hard to shift for 3-point turn, and versus the old bump style shifter (disontinued on the GC), I'd take the dial for speed compared to that.

Have had no issue with the Ram making 3-point turns on the ski hill, just takes getting used to like all shifters, or like the new electronic parking brakes.

If it did not spell Jeep on the steering wheel, I could swear it's a FIAT 500L

Other than the fact it looks nothing like a 500L dash, apart from being a vehicle dashboard?

Hey all! This picture of the JL interior is 100% real. I can confirm that's exactly how it will look. Only other variant I saw that almost made it, was having a more flush UConnect screen like the Pacifica. They were debating it at the final stages of designing the interior. Apparently, they ran into heat problems and scrapped the idea. My source is I work for FCA (if you want to see what I do there, read my recent comment where I talk about it). The only proof I really have is I've posted many things so far that have turned out to be right, and I've posted new things long before they "leaked out". I still have some information that I don't really see any talk of it online. Example the 2017 Easter Jeep Safari concept "SwitchBack" that has those doors with the hole cut out that say 1941. Thos will be optional order accessories with the JL. Haven't seen that posted anywhere else online besides by me.

Not liking the new dash, it just doesn't scream Jeep to me.

After driving in mine for a week it really feels great inside. It would be hard for me to go back to my jk after being spoiled with this JL

JL interior pics?

We've had our JL for about a month now. I agree that the interior is a nice improvement from the JK. We traded in our JKRR for our JLUR.

Just helped my mother-in-law buy a 2018 JK today. She let me drive it home and while the JK is a big improvement over her TJ we traded in, the JL is that much of an improvement over the JK.

I haven't driven our TJ in a while. I drove my mother-in-law's to the dealership to trade it in. Surprising how much bigger the JK is than the TJ. I can't wait until summer when I'll be switching back and forth between our TJ & JL!
