Fort Fisher Trek this weekend

Hello fellow jeepers.

Heading out to Fort Fisher this weekend (Sat or Sun - not yet decided) and figured I'd ask if anyone else was going or wanted to go? I'm going to have my kids with me - they are very excited about driving out on the sand. Weather looks to be hit or miss - scattered storms - which is what it is every day at the beach - so long as that possible storm doesn't come too soon.

Also - have any of you been to Freeman Park in Carolina Beach?

I live in the area and hit both beaches regularly. I expect the weather to continue with hit and miss storms. If it does rain, it won't last long. Freeman park is more expensive and much more crowded. Ft Fisher has lots of room.

@Dr Obbins - thank you. I'm needing the vacation, so looking forward to it.

Ft. Fisher has always been my go-to - so will go again.

I also have your contact info from a PM from my trip in May - hope you don't mind if I need to reach out if I manage to get myself into a situation I cannot get out of.

Yep, give me a call if needed. There is a good chance I will be on one of the beaches with the local Jeep club.
