Welcome to VA. I just got my first jeep in April so I'm still looking for trails as well. I did Peter's Mill the other day, and had a good time.

Not to sure.

The hard part with Big Levels is. The pin stripes. Hahahaha

No idea on who rated the trails. But everyone is different. I find both of them easy on a dry day, and maybe a moderate on a wet day.

But thats me.

Agreed with the pinstripes, brought some deep ones home the second go around. Who trims those trees and bushes on the trail? They need to go out and trim the yard soon

No doubt!

Not to sure if the Park system manages it or they contract it out.... Could be the average Joe maintaining it.

Back in March/April of this year, I was one of many up there for a trail clean up. That was mostly trash. But did cut back a few things that could hit vehicles.

Oh yeah...

If anyone cares... RVA Rock crawlers will be at 4 wheel parts for some club sale or something tomorrow. Also a Toyota club will be there too.

I have to work all day, so I will not attending.

Starts at 0900.

Have they thought about adding water depth markers for some of the larger pools? Jeeps can likely ignore but it may be useful for others crossing through there. Like the f150 I had to pull out, he was stuck there for several hours before I saw them.

Anyone here in a Virginia Jeep Club and if so which one and how often do you meet up with members and actually do rides or events together?

Good idea!

No idea, if they have thought about it or not.

My thought is... the sandy bottom is always being dug out more. So signage will change and have to follow. That also depends if it sign stays there. I can see it getting ripped down and used for a possible traction device or what have you.

What’s happening.

I’m in a local group (RVA Rock crawlers), but have only been to a few meet ups.. no trail runs with them as of yet.

Also, joined V4WDA (state wide club) Been with them for a couple of years now. But have only been able to make 1 trail clean up and trail run.

That said... life keeps getting in the way which has limited my play time with both groups. For the most part, I get out when I can. pretty much most of that is out running alone.

Oh yeah! I’m also part of HRJC (Hampton roads Jeep Club). Have met them a time or two as well. Being as they are in Hampton roads... it makes the meet ups a lot harder to do.

Now, that said... I have met members in both RVA & HRJC, thru V4WDA events.

Thanks Hafaday. I'll do some looking. My buddy and I are trying to join a group or start one possibly but want it to be active either way.

I'm in Westmoreland County. About an hour north of Richmond. But I'll drive 3 to 4 hours for good wheeling. LOL

Cool. Drive time can be the same for me too. Or the other way to OBX to play in the sand.

Rode by the 4 WP thing. Was a cold rainy day. There were a few under tarps selling things.

Do you typically go to swaps? If so, what's your experience been like?

I'm always a little hesitant with these kinds of things because I've been burned by one too many a yard sale. My tendency is to trust Wrangler owners, but it's always hard to tell in the NoVA area, so I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.
