I'm always a little hesitant with these kinds of things because I've been burned by one too many a yard sale. My tendency is to trust Wrangler owners, but it's always hard to tell in the NoVA area, so I'd be curious to hear your thoughts.
This is no help to ya.

I will hit up a swap every now and then just to see whats there.

I have only been to a few and yet to buy, Only because stuff was for the older YJ/TJ and so on (Im in a JKU). Sometimes some oddball stuff as well.

This past even happened to be sponsored by VA4WDA at the 4wheel parts store. That said, a little bit of everything and i still walked away with nothing.

So to sum up... guess they are a hit and miss thing for what you are looking for.

Good to know. Thanks for the info.

Makes sense that most of what you'd find is for older Wranglers.

Not sure if this has been your experience, but I've found that people in NoVA tend to use stuff until it's just about destroyed then they try to make a few bucks off it at a swap or a yard sale. Most of it is old, or just garbage.

With a t-shirt or something, I can live with it...I tend to be way more cautious when considering parts for the JK.

Morning..

Rite rite. The same used beat to crap can be in any market. New or old.

I my self have a few items that are new and have yet to installed. Also are a couple or years old. So if I sold them, do I go for max price or say screw it and go for cheap (loose lotsa money) to get them outta the house.

The old, buyer beware always comes to mind.

Check'n in as well. Nice new ride. Doesn't seem to be a lot of Central Virginia activity on the ol' WF. One person posted a couple upcoming events on the local Central VA board a while back, but haven't seen much else. It might reside on another platform. Lots of other good info on here though. Welcome to the forum.

Dang! Forgot this..

Look up, cars and coffee, Richmond. Its usually every other Saturday. Cars of all kinds and some jeeps too.

That said, looks like most threads in here have died down some.

Went up to Big Levels/Bald Mountain near Stuarts Draft with the family today. Had a blast. Only saw one other JL up there. Lots of rocks, a little sandy mud, all in all a good time. Glad that fella went through the last hole before I got to it. He sunk, but he had a winch, so no biggie. Me on the other hand would have been high-lift jacking or walking. Haha.

That looks cool. I'm not really set up for camping yet. I was actually debating trying this trail that weekend. My buddy told me about it. Says there are some OHV trails available. Or might give bald mountain another go.

What's happening!

Don't hold me to it, but I was told that trail was shut down to vehicles, years ago. Motorcycle and ATV only now. At the same time.. An in and out only. Might wanna call up the Rangers office to find out for sure.

Pretty sure it's the North River Ranger Dist. https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/gwj/about-forest/districts

Something to play around with in your down time. Both let you search trails. You can also click on said trail/FSR and get info about it as well. The second will highlight trails that you designate for what kind of vehicle you are using.

https://apps.fs.usda.gov/TravelAccess/

While I'm at it.. This is also going on this weekend. https://www.overlandexpo.com/east

I thought the same thing, but the site said it was open and updated in early 2019. I figured I'd have to call first. I wanted to go to the overland expo, but I'm on call this weekend and can't stray too far from home base. It's a shame too cause there were two or three things this weekend. Story of my life.

I know how you feel. I'm on call next weekend.

Wifey dropped two, 3 day passes in my lap this morning for the Overland Expo. I ended up giving them away because I now work Sundays. Used to be 4-10's Tues. thru Fri. for 6 years. 3 day weekends were nice. That said, Home projects are a priority right now.

Hell, A group of Taco's were going out to run Flag Pole tomorrow. I had to cancel that one too.

Being an adult sucks sometimes. haha

Worst part is, I write the on-call schedule. I just had my weekends mixed up and jacked it up. Hahahaha. What's flag pole like? Hadn't heard of that one before.
