Chicagoans Planning A Dunes Visit - Question

Folks,

Planning a potential visit to the dunes for camping and wondered if there is any wheeling allowed on the dunes? I know about badlands park in Indiana, but can't find anything about the dunes. Is there anywhere on the dunes there where wheeling is permitted?

Please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

No dune riding in Indiana. To do that you have to go to silver lake in MI it's worth the trip check it out

Yep as a person who grew up just outside the Dunes there is absolutely no off road vehicles allowed. Plenty of campsites but no motorized vehicles on the trails. I live in Indy now and I can attest to the badlands fake sand dunes are just like it would be if you could drive there.

Yeah, nothing at all that I know of near the Dunes. I feel like there was an area by Michigan City by the prison that had some dune-like sand areas, but I'm not sure if it's private or what. May not exist at all anymore.
