I need a job!!!

Well, I left my old job and for several different reasons. The biggest was because it was cheaper for me to stay home with the new born infant than to pay $250.00 a week in childcare.

So now I need to find some work. I could go sell cars anywhere, but I really do not want to sell cars. Customers have no respect and treat you like [email protected]#% and the hours you put in are REDICULOUS, if you want to make any money at all.

So some things about me.....

I am married.

I am a 46 year old father of 6 sons. Only 3 are still at home and one is the new born.

I am a veteran of war.

I have a lot of experience in a lot of different fields, but sales is what I have done most of.

I have built communication towers, sold lumber and cars. ran my own production company and as said before, I am an Army veteran. I also sang for many years to pay for my rent and pay for my supper.

I really need something that might be a night shift, but am willing to entertain other ideas

I am honest, forthright, dependable, and responsible.

I would really like to do something that makes me feel good at the end of the day.

Anyway, I had a few moments and thought I would send this out to people who might be like minded.

Thanks for looking!!!

Jeff, first off thank you for your service. I don't really have any advice other than maybe find something for now just to pay the bills but continue looking for something that makes you want to go to work each day. Hope ya find it soon. Congrats on the little one.

Thank you friend. I would love to still play and sing, but I am old now, and the folks in the honky tonks don't listen to the same honky tonk music anymore. Hahahaha!!!!

Try looking at USA jobs for something at the VA. Being a veteran you stand a better chance at getting something than a non veteran. That's what I did. Also if you have the GI bill look at going to school. They will pay for school plus give you a housing allowance of whatever an E5 would make in your area. Unless you do like me and go online and then you get half that amount.

Good luck Dawg. I'll definitely let you know if anything leaps out at me.

If nothing else, some evenings at Lowes would give you more toys to explore.

Thanks AKPony. I might end up doing that. I really have a little bit of time left, and I am really hoping something jumps out at me that will rock my world. Something that will make me feel alive I guess, not just a cog in a wheel. Singing had always done that for me, but even now, I have not done a show in about a year.

Doing very well. Need to figure out my CB install before my first Jeep Jamboree in June (Michigan), and would be nice to eliminate the ugly chrome front buffer and grill before then too. Time and money, time and money.

You can stop by sometime and I will be glad to help with the CB thing. I am pretty handy. My install was a breeze. I just had to figure out the ground and for me that was pretty easy for me.

Yep, im a tree hugger! Lol. I would love to work in the great outdoors doing something I love, but I'm not sure Indiana could support another offroad park.

I am not sure we need our own off road park. I think we might be able to take historic tours through Indiana, natural tours , and more. Maybe whole weekend camping tours and such. I think with deals made with the State and Federal government along with off road parks and such along with private owned land holders, there are lots off things that can be done. Might even be able to make it a non-for profit like the NFL. Hahahahahaha!!!! Maybe even lobby for more off road trails right here in the state.

I know what you mean, wifey's at the breaking point, I'm seriously thinking of taking a part time Job to make $$ for more Jeep mods, it is kind of unfair for me to blow all that money on them, I've dropped a lot of dough recently.

My wife works for Exelon nuclear. They like vets to work for security, good pay and benefits. How far of a commute for you to braidwood IL?

Thank you both!!!

Right now I enjoy being a stay at home dad. My 6 month old son needs a little attention and with the 8 and 9 year olds just going on summer vacation, I am affording myself the time to spend with them for a little while. Might actually be cheaper to not have a job as to pay for child care.

Believe it or not, we might be moving to a house out by a private lake and nature preserve here in Indiana. It is a smaller place, but a pretty cool house in a pretty cool place. Moving is going to play a big part in where I will be working for sure.
