Indianapolis Gear Shops?

I think I'm about ready to start getting some gearing quotes.. Currently 3:73 and want to bump up to 4:56. Any recommendations for the Indianapolis area?

Thanks

Some use 4 wheel parts now in castleton...since you live sw of Indy call a&a transmission on county line Rd in camby/Mooresville....they didn't good work... Northridge has good deals on the Yukon kits with master installs...then have a&a do the labor...I think he quoted me 600 per axle for the labor...4 wheel parts was like 1299 per axle installed with parts....

Thanks Bill. I remembered you telling me about a&a and plan to call them tomorrow. Been doing a little research on pricing.. Mostly reading older posts and pricing is all over the place. I found one that said 4 wheel was was priced really well. Sounds like they aren't but I'll get a quote just the same. I called Skaggs transmissions (local guy) and he doesn't do R&P work anymore.. Too bad, it's a few miles from the house.

Called around to a few shops...

A&A Transmission.. $600 labor only per axle. With Yukon gears $1800

Extreme Performance... $570 labor only per axle. With Yukon gears $1740

4 Wheel Parts... Actually has the best install labor rate but the extras take the grand total to $1934.30 out the door. The extras include new wheel bearing, seals, Lucus lube, shop fee etc. Included with that is 3/36 warranty which isn't free.

BTW when I called 4 wheel, they said that they would email and call with the quote. I asked for a ballpark and they did tell me 1299. Per axle at first.. P&L. I told him that if that's what it is, to not waste his time. Looks like they were able to trim the fat a little.

Also Yukon might still have their spring rebates going on....if you buy the front and rear R/P's and master installs you get like 150 back! And you can get the whole package for 570 from Northridge before the discount code....
