Who has tools and wants to help?

Thinking about going ahead and tearing down that front end of my TJ tomorrow, Saturday November 29 and Sunday.

I have tie rod upgrade, u-joints, bearings hub and ball joints to replace. I have all the parts, but not all the tools. I have a lot of tools, just not all of them.

I have a garage, floor jack, Jack stands, sockets, ratchets, wrenches, 200# impact (electric), breaker bar, drill, and more. Do not have BFH, press for joints, and such. I know I can rent some of them and will rent what I need.

I could really use a hand and some extra tools. I am not a mechanic, but I aint skeered.

I will check first thing in the morning for any replies.

Thanks All!!!!

Well, I am having a little lunch, but have been busy. About ready to take that axle nut off. Could use some tech knowledge from someone if they want to join in. Already went and bought a BFH and rented some tools.

Didn't see this in time. I can swing by Sunday early afternoon if you still need a hand, but I have neither tools nor knowledge (nor much brawn) to offer.

Would have been better if the accident had managed to damage that awful chrome front bumper or puncture the tire he hit (by far my worst with the least tread) but overall it's at least as good as it was. Handled Rob's Place with a yawn (the Jeep, not me, I was more than a little stressed).

All good brother. I only got half of what I wanted to get done, and let me tell you I am sore. Still have u-joints and that Crown HD steering set up to do, but that will have to wait for another day. Ball joints and hubs are done. Ball joints might be the hardest.

Pictures will be in my build thread soon.

The TJ is a little more simple to work on, but they both can be a pain in the butt..

They both got a new set of hubs.. I pulled the shafts and everything on the tj for giggles lol

The kj needs a drivers side cv so the drivers side will have to come apart again. No big deal though. I always anti seize the heck out of Hub stuff so it all comes apart easy.

I work at Ed Martin Honda, and the group owns Ed Martin Chrysler Dodge Jeep. Like I said, I don't work at the Jeep dealership, but I can sell from there. SO if anyone wanted to I could get a Jeep for them.

Have you heard of a place called champion, might have spelled it wrong. I think it's an Indy jeep dealer as well..

Yes, it was first a group ownership, including Bill Estes. Noth on Michigan road and 96TH street. They have a couple or a few aftermarket loaded rigs on the lot at all times. Never worked for them but have thought about going to their new Kia dealership as it is just minutes from my house instead of 40 miles away like I am now, but I am treated well where I am.

Why do you ask?

Because they seem to have some really good prices on 2015 4 door sports.. I haven't looked at your dealer though..didn't know if they just jack up the price with misc fees then..

Yeah I'm from up north in Fort Wayne and didn't want to drive all the way to Indy to find out the dealer is a crappy one

I don't know as I have ever dealt with them, but I can at least match if not beat any deal out there.

You just never know how some folks advertise their price. Some people like Andy Mohr advertise a price on TV but the only people who can get it are the factory workers and their families through A-plan for Ford, Option 1 or 2 for GM or Green Slip through Chrysler, and then subtract different rebates too, such as College Grad and that is often only available to recent college grads. Of course this is on new. Used is different and I would call about added fees such as Doc fees and such. Ours here at the Honda Store are only 149.00 Doc fee and nothing else.
