Wrangler Owners of Ohio
Why is there no activity Ohio? How many other Ohio owners are there? I mean come on we are were wranglers come from! I live 25 minutes from the jeep plant were they are made right here in Toledo and go by it often. We should all talk and get togethar or plan some event. I pass at least 4 wranglers a day and we wave and there are always at least 5 in the parking lot on campus University of Toledo, but I dont know anyother wrangler owners! Other states have lift parties and offroad events and show n shines. Weres the community love Ohio?
Or is there a different forum or something for ohio I don't know about? I've been to www.OffroadOhio.com but I didnt care for that forum.

Another "local" here! I grew up in Rossford, but I live in Port Clinton now. Lets see some pics of your rig, maybe I've seen it around campus! I don't usually drive mine to school, but "Lucy" has been known to find her way there a few times!

Well, there are some big puddles in the road a few blocks away..
The only wheeling to do around here is splashing thru mudpuddles!

I hear ya! There used to be about 11 acres out here near Hopkins Airport that was all mud and hills bordered by trees that people wheeled at. Took my Power Wagon there. But one day it was shut down with concrete barriers and signs saying "No Off Road Vehicles". It was land set aside for development that wasn't happening, so everyone thought it was okay. They knew it for years and didn't seem to care. Couldn't destroy anything - it was pretty much just dirt. Maybe they finally decided to do something with it.
I'm so hard up to wheel, I was driving through snowdrifts last weekend!
I'm planning a vacation out west (Colorado) soon.

Well, as far as clubs in NE Ohio, Western Reserve 4 Wheelers is in the Cleveland area. They're pretty active and family oriented.
I know what you mean about snow drift/bank driving. I've had to work the past 3 weekends and on the way in/out I', going through the parking lots on base to find banks and drifts to go through.
Thank God spring is on it's way!

Glad to see you found the forum. I checked out the wrev site and I might just go on a prospective member ride - just not the one in April cuz I work on Sat this rotation. In the summer, July - Sept I'm off on weekends though. I'll see what they have going then. Gives me a good reason to get my EMP rock sliders too! And maybe diff covers, and...
See ya around lab!

How about a "meet and Greet" during the first weekend in May at Bob's Big Boy in Stow!! (I'll be in the area for a wedding, and it would be fun).
If you think you'd be interested, you can send your intentions to " [email protected]" or private message me in here.

Heck, that would sure work for me! If we play our cards right, we could all take the Miller Ferry over to Put In Bay and take part in the parade they have most every Sunday morning during the summer!

There is a LEGAL place in NE Ohio to go wheeling. Do a search for JeepSkool or PM me for some details.

little bit of both actually...I just ordered 2nd gear, the last part for my tranny. And I paid off my bike that I never ride so I'll prob trade for another jeep. I was talk to some kid up north and he thought it wasn't worth the trade because I didn't have a gsxr or cbr which imo are the worst on resale out of all the bikes. I have a 2002 buell x1 lightning ( the one with the 1200 cc sportster vtwin). I just don't enjoy almost getting ran off the road everywhere I go. Whadda think? Gotta be worth a nice jeep right? Not a brand new one but at least one with no mods done to it or rust.
