Need Tire/Wheel combo in Toronto

So I recently located to downtown Toronto from the states and can't find a tire/wheel place to save my life. I've gone to a couple of places looking to go an inch bigger from my 2012 JKU stock tires and people react like I am searching for a specialty item. I just got back from a Canadian Tire and after waiting 15 minutes for help, the attendant made me go outside and take pics of my stock tires (even though his computer told him exactly what I had) and then proceeded to help someone else when I came back. I would just order them direct from Quadratec in order to get what I need, but I don't have tools or a private garage. Any advice? I really want to avoid the dealerships based on their prices and limited selection of wheel choices.

Yeaaahhh... Rule #1 about Canadian Tire: You do not go and ask about tires at Canadian Tire.

What are you looking for specifically? I'm in Toronto, I may be able to suggest some places. Ask here or PM me directly, your choice.

LOL, how could I be so stupid?

Thanks,

I'm just looking to go an inch bigger than stock (33s) and get new wheels. I was advised to stop into Just Jeeps. I didn't have time today due to all the time I wasted in Canadian Tire, but they were really helpful over the phone. Like I said, in the states, my order would be really basic at any of the major tire franchises. My request is being treated as if it were a calculus problem here.

Canadian Tire is good if you know exactly what you want and they sell it and have it in stock, then you go in and buy it. Their marketing is a disaster..ie. They run this Rancho shocks special in their flyers practically every week but you go in the store and they don't even have a way in their system to order Rancho shocks..

Anyway..

JustJeeps is a good start and it is local GTA. Then you have the Canadian branch of 4wheelparts, the closest store is in Burlington. Also the Canadian northridge4x4 in Alberta. These are good for jeep parts, including tires, but they do not stock much. You order and wait for delivery unless you're lucky and they have what you need in stock.

Then you have the online stores like 4tires.ca , quattrotires.com , pmctire.com , 1010tires.com , etc., which have better prices than the brick stores but you'll have to take the tires to a shop to have them balanced and installed. These deliver to your door.

tirediscounter.ca is a central site for local shops that sell and install tires and rims. ie. You can browse for the tire you want then request quotes from several of these shops in your area. Or you can call them directly. The prices vary wildly so the more shops you call the better prices you get. So it's a bit of a leg work with these but you get a price including the install and tax.

I had some tires shipped from 1010tires, and the experience was flawless. Now, having a brother in law as an assistant manager at the local Kal Tire helped speed up my mounting time, especially at this time of year, but regardless I'd deal with them again in the future.

I used KalTire several times in the past successfully to buy Nokian tires for my WJ and my Evo. Unfortunately, they became greedy lately with their pricing structure. Too bad...
