CT Dealers

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 16" JKU Willy's. Anyone have experience with either Garavel Jeep in Norwalk or Scap Jeep in Fairfield?

I did not buy my Jeep at Garavel, but did speak to a few of the salespeople. Did not impress me at all. Like most, they are "car" salespeople selling whatever is on the lot.

As far as service goes, I took my JKU there for an oil change and they were very pleasant and prompt. I had the oil changed at 3K miles and the service writer tried to talk me out of it, saying it was necessary until 8K miles.

My Jeep has a dash cam - the techs said nice things about my Jeep.

Never had good experiences with SCAP for any model vehicle. I had the best experience with Branhaven in Branford. I haven't heard any complaints about them. I assume you're trying to stay in the FF county area. I'm from Shelton, so it's not too much of a haul to go to Branford, but it can be inconvenient. I think Garavel and Jeep of Greenwich are also decent to deal with.

I met with the Fairfield guys and they were pretty nice. Guy definitely knew what he was talking about

Do your Jeep research, determine what options you want and don't want.
Give you specs to a dealer and get a price, move along to the next etc. When you find what you want for what your willing to pay. Work with them, otherwise walk away.
You'd be surprised how quickly their attitude will change when you get up and say see ya!
They are all in to make $$, you can price your Jeep before walking in.

Greenwich were nice, but expensive and kept pushing extra options I didn't want. Either way make sure you know exactly what you want and don't let them talk you into paying for things you don't want.

I also live in Trumbull, CT. I picked up my 2016 JK Willys' Wheeler yesterday from Milford Jeep. Great dealership, no hassles. Ask for Neal.

While I was there, another customer started a conversation with me about how much shopping around he did with local dealers and Milford Jeep had the best deal.

If you see a Silver Willy's around town, it'll be me waving!

Good luck!

I went to both garavel and scap the other day. Garavel wanted almost the same price for a sport as the willy's I spec'd out at scap. Garavel didn't seem to want to put in the order for the exact one I wanted, kept showing me ones in stock. They both kept insisting there wasn't any wiggle room since wranglers sell themselves. Scap did tell me about the tread lightly coupon though guy was very nice and knowledgeable. I'll try Milford and see what they can do. Thanks.

I wish I had had a similar experience there, I liked the ones at Milford. Neal helped me when I first got there, and to be honest, I think he thought I didn't know what I wanted because I was a woman. I showed up, he came to help us and I gave him a rundown of what I was looking for in a wrangler since I knew exactly what I wanted. I was willing to drop money on the spot.

He looked at me and said "Well I could get you into a 2014 Patriot for $---" I replied kindly that I wasn't interested in the Patriot or any other model really, just a wrangler. "Well have you seen the new Renegades?" He proceeded to take me over to the new Renegades (gag) and show me those. I said "Thank you, but please can you show me some of the wranglers you have over there on the lot?"

After some back and forth he finally conceded to grabbing keys to a '15 WW and he let me check out the interior. I was stoked. I asked if we could take one out for a test drive, didn't have to be that specific one. He gave us a run around again and ultimately said no because they would have to move other jeeps to pull that out for me to drive. Disappointment.

We went back to his office and he helped me run some numbers to see where I would be and what discounts I could get. But that's where the entire dealer's helpfulness stopped for me. I watched them take 3 other people around to other jeeps and pull one up for a test drive (albeit a Cherokee) but I really felt let down there. Walked away and never went back. I shopped around 4 other dealers before committing at Branhaven.

All in all I was very satisfied with how things turned out. Love my jeep. It all happens for a reason right?
