Blue Lake Wheeling

There is an area just outside Lakehurst of Rt 70 called Blue Lake (according to google earth) Does anyone know if this is a legal area to ride. Looks like tracks all over on the map.

Sarco. It's "private property". I have gone through years ago, haven't been there in a vehicle in a long time. I hiked through there a couple weeks ago, and there were tons of people out there. The one bit of advice I will give you is not to park your vehicle too close to the waters edge, I guarantee your jeep will turn into a submarine.

I've been there around 10 times in the past few months and have never encountered a cop. But I've encountered locals who insist there are cops there all the time (come back on quads, hummers, etc). It's an incredible place though, I'd recommend checking it out. Maybe mid-day on a weekday would be best.

Blue lake is NOT a legal place to wheel! I have been riding there for many years, there are many many cops that go back there in quads and UTV's. I've never had a problem since I know the family that owns all of that property and had permission, BUT. I have seen many trucks bikes and quads, even a few jet skis impounded out there!! And the the other guy said!! DO not go to close the edge of lake !! It will collapse and your rig will go to the bottom. I've seen it happen and it happened to me with one of my quads. ( quads really do float). Lol!!

Would the family give permission to anyone or just friends?

Agreed about not riding in the water, it gets really deep really quick. However, I definitely recommend taking a swim across! It's such a shame this place isn't opened to the public. I'll post up some pics later so you can check it out.

I used to wheel there all the time ~20 years ago. Definitely not legal and much more heavily patrolled nowadays. Last I heard the cops were giving out like $700 tickets to those who got caught there.

I am pretty sure that land is owned by k hovnanian. They were supposed to develop it into another senior community, but a bunch of the site is contaminated from mining, and the fertilizer from lawns and such would seep too easily into the aquifer.

Has anyone been to gliddens?
I believe the big blue lake on top of this pic is gliddens and the long blue lake on bottom is sarco. Some people told me about these spots but I don't feel like dealing with cops.
