Buttermilk falls area closed off?

Went for a drive to stokes national forest, decided to make a run to buttermilk falls while I was there. Unfortunately It was roped off at both ends... anyone know what going on? Is it temporary or now permanently closed to vehicle traffic?
Oh and FYI, three bridges roads back there got eroded quite a bit over winter. Got a little hairy at the one drainage crossing. First time I've ever been nervous in the jeep. It was probably 2 ft deep about 2 ft wide. I rolled some boulders in there n made it across, be wary if you head down that way.

Oh, and they also put barriers around the mud pit near the handicapped fishing area. Been busy little bees over the winter apparently

Pic doesn't do it justice...

And of course I see this sign as I'm exiting... lol

Yeh I hear ya, that part of the road has always been a bit tricky, guess winter took its toll. I would have preferred they closed off that part so I could have avoided it lol.

What exactly is roped off? I was up there a few weeks ago. Buttermilk was roped off if you entered from the cemetery but was wide open if you entered from Haneys Mill.

Brook road from Tuttles Corner has been labeled "closed" if approaching from the South forever, but has had the "travel at own risk" sign up to the 1 house for a long time.

What is Three Bridges labeled on Google Maps?
