I was at the Toyota plant in Lexington a few weeks ago and they had a team member adjusting the doors once installed. Take some time to align the Core doors and they will fit and fit very well. Perfect?? Check your factory doors, take exact measurements of all your gaps and they will not be perfect. Finally as a prior Honda tech we adjusted all of the door gaps before releasing the car to the lot for sale.

You guys are 100% right.
All doors must be adjusted, to properly fit the body before they leave the factory. They are NOT plug and play.

I don't know about plug and play... but I have been trying to fit the uppers with no luck. Same exact issues as above. Bestop designer tried to guide me for weeks now with no success. This is not an adjustment issue but rather a set of design problems. Big disappointment for me as I really wanted them to work.

Do you have pictures of the uppers for us to see? Where is the alignment issue? How are the door bushings?

Hey there,

I apologize for the frustration and I have been made aware replacements are being sent out to you by our engineer Tommy. He has personally test fit these on Jeeps here to ensure they work correctly for you. As you know we are sending a call tag to get your old ones picked up so we can investigate further what is going on with them. Please let me know how the new ones fit, love the purple rig btw

Been working on the new replacement set fitment and it appears to fit a little better but still far from acceptable so I decided to remove the Rugged Ridge door entry guards and it made a noticeable difference.
Those entry guards, although clearing fine the OEM doors, prevent the Core doors from closing properly and distort/flex them quite a bit. Lowers are now much closer to being flush on the bottom edge. Still struggling with the uppers but will continue to update as I progress.

My doors arrived today!

Waiting on new mirrors so I did a test of fit the rear lowers and definitely have an interference at the hinge side above the top hinge. I do have stick on door sill protectors so hoping that’s just the doors up a little. Going to take few close up pictures.

The last image shows where the door is hitting up against the body sheet metal looking down on the hinge side.

I may pull off the sill guard to see if that has any effect.

I canít find the post anymore but it spoke to the mirror cup dimensions. How deep are they? I think I saw 2.75Ē. Are they just spacers to prevent compressing the interior liner when bolting in the mirrors?

I need to mock up something out of wood while I wait

Front sill guards definitely causing the bottom to stick out. Will likely replace with a clear film or something.

Odd that they don't fit with the sill guards. I'd have assumed Bestop made the doors with factory dimensions in mind.

If you look at the seals and the surfaces, the Bestop doors seal at a different place than the OEM doors due to how they are made.

Update On my doors: I have about 800 miles on them and 4 days of wheeling combined with a lot of highway in between. They are fitting better each day as the seals relax and are finding their happy place. Looking forward to more wheeling with them this summ[ATTACH][ATTACH]Click image for larger version

Anyone else elongating mirror bolt holes on the inside panel?

With the Mirror cups you would install the bolts before you place the trim panel in. That way you can remove the trim panel without removing the mirrors.

Loving it now! Only issue is the interference on rear doors near the hinge.

And I had to pay for the mirror cups. Grrrr

Looks like the rear of the rear door(Door Handle end) in your pic is up too high from looking at the tub to door body line. Get that down a little and the interference at the hinge would go away. Loosen the hinge bolts and see if there is enough movement.
I opened the holes to 1/2 inch for a little more adjust-ability on my doors.

If the price came down a bit and they came with some sort of strong Plexiglas insets as an option (not sold separately...), I think I would have to buy them.

Forgive if it's been talked about elsewhere. I scanned through the previous 12 pages and didn't see anything on the subject (unless I speed-read right by it)..but water fjording?

"Keeping out the elements" is a little vague when it comes to marketing speak so looking for actual experience.

I occasionally have to go through water higher than the bottom of my doors. My OEM full doors seal pretty nicely so I've never had an issue but I was wondering how these hold up in deeper water?

I live in NJ I went to the wildwood jeep fest this year 2019 Fatherís Day weekend decided to purchase doors through Quadratec. I received the doors in a week the lower doors were well packaged and arrived in perfect condition the upper doors package was in horrible condition nothing was in the packaging. I understand that there are door fillers to hold the uppers in the lowers was missing. I contacted Quadratec sent pictures was told they opened a warranty claim and the needed parts will be forwarded quickly itís the end of July and still no parts! Now letís make matters worse the needed mirror filler bracket was not included with the doors Iím still waiting after calling both Best top and Quadratec.
I donít often put in bad reviews but 7 weeks my Core Doors are still sitting in my garage in used I think Iím rather pissed!

These would just flood your jeep. They are not at all the same type of seal as factory.
