I live in Kerhonkson area right next to Ellenville ,I know of a trail that goes from Kerhonkson to up near the rondout reservoir ,its about 5 miles long ,I would say its kinda mild ,not 2wd mild but mild ,yet fun .Thinking of running through there this weekend ,honestly its the only trail I know of .
I think us in the Pine Bush / Ellenville / Kerhonkson / Middletown area should get together. I vote my place..'cause I have a bar with free beer. (Killian's on tap) Any interest? Check out the link on my signature.
Hey havnt checked this thread in a while ,but as soon as old man winter is done with his bulls$%t ,I will be looking to go hit the trails and try out my new 4" lift (will be installing as soon as there is a clear weekend ) ,keep in touch and we can get together for a trail ride, have a frind with a huge 77 cj7 and a friend with a 88 FJ62 with 33's and we are all good people .
Sman, are you familar with the trail at the end of Lundy road (think that's the name of it) don't know if it dead ends or goes somewhere or how many trails are back there
Yes very familiar with it infact went to go back there in late last summer ,the old bridge has been taken out and there is no way across (yet?) ,the town of Wawarsing now owns it I was told but its still not posted . monkers where are you from ?
Im from Grahamsville, I was back there, went down lundy and it turned to dirt, then crossed a brook and it got real narrow fast so I turned around, my jeep was only a couple weeks old....put some nice scratches in it back there....looked like there were a few trails back there......seen lots of trails...nothing was posted when I was there. Just curious if the trails went anywhere or dead ended....didn't know if I just picked the wrong one...it turned into a 4 wheeler trail fast lol
There are trails and they go to the top of the mountain and then stop,it has been a while though .Went all the way back with my friend's CJ about 10 years ago .Did you know that place is supposedly haunted ? There used to be several old houses back there that belonged to the servants of the Lundy's estate ,they have since been torn down ,except the mansion which is being renovated by new owners .It used to be called Pottersville .
Cool man ,if i get a chance to get back there and check it out again ,ill try to locate the trail we went on ,ill let you know and could maybe meet up and do a trail ride .Do you know of any trails in the Sullivan Cty area ?
sounds good, there are no trails around here that I know of yet, im asking around, still pretty new to the Jeep world.....if I come upon any Ill let you know bud....

I just got my Jeep two weeks ago and I am looking for some folks in this area (i am in Milford PA) to wheel with around here. Not from the area so don't really know of any trails. If anyone one is around lets get together and ride.
The hudson valley thread is quite active for this area. Lots of runs and pics of what is being done. Latest pics are on page 62.
