Long island shop

What's going on everyone? I'm finally going to start modifying my 2012 4door Sahara. I'm going to start with tires/wheels and a lift. I don't have the time nor the capability to do this myself. I notice there's no shops really on Long Island. Does anyone know of any that do at least a decent job?

There are shops on LI, you just have to know where to look..

I support Evan's 4x4 516-384-5349

There are many "kooks" out there that work in their mom's driveway or a friends garage that think they know how to modify jeeps. Stay way from them. There are also some very big shops that talk a good game but rape you on prices and perform sketchy work.

Others will chime in with some respected names, I'm sure.
There are only a few TRUSTED shops. Most of them know each other and get along.

I'll check it out. I appreciate it. The other name I heard was Sammy's in Hicksville. I'm for California so I'm not exactly aware of the Jeep culture and scene here other than everyone and their mother has them and they aren't modified.

Evan's and Goonie's Garage are really the two most trusted shops. Evan and John from Goonie's are both very active in the LI 4x4 community and you can often see them sharing their knowledge in the numerous Long Island Jeep facebook groups. Evan hasn't started a page for his shop but here's the Goonie's page. You can't go wrong with either John or Evan. I have heard more bad than good about Sammy - mostly related to customer service/being disinterested in helping/talking to people.

I ended up going with Evan's. He seems like a legit dude and was real knowledgable. I checked out Goonies but Evan's just seemed like a better fit for me. I appreciate it guys.

Evan is the man. Only thing he knows more about than jeeps is food. He has done all of my work.
