No top?

So after having my tj for a few weeks and being that it is summer I have desperately wanted to drive with the top off. Sadly my jeep only came with the hard top which I know will be great for new york's. Cold winters but I don't think I'll have the money to buy a soft top for the rest of the summer. I plan on buying one closer to the Hollidays time of year. So my question is would you recommend me taking my hard top off and going topless? I know others do all the time but wanted to know what people thought in locations relatively close.

Not unless you have a way to take it on and off like a hoist in a garage of if its a beater without carpet and you dont care about water damage

That's what I have , a hoist in the garage. Works great! Hook up a couple straps, remove six screws, and it will easily rise to the ceiling! Love it. Cost me 120.00 for the hoist at Quadratec.

Sadly I don't have a garage but after getting 20$ mirrors from quadratec so cops wouldn't bother me doorless I've finally taken off the top and doors, top is currently on the side of the house and my jeep is currently under a large tarp haha. Loving the naked driving though, thanks for the idea anyway.
