I'm in N.Y.C and I just bought a 87 Wrangler YJ. I got some 32" tires to go with it (15inch chrome rims) so I purchased a 3" body kit for clearance and wanted to know where can I get them installed and what's the going rate for installation. I don't know where to go nor do I want to get overcharged. Anyone have advice?? Thanks! New Jeep owner here
I think the only advice you are going to get is not to put that 3" body lift on. If you want a lift, get a suspension lift. A BL is really affect your body roll and will not be fun.
its really personal, go check some out in person that have body lifts. personally i think they look like poop, just me though. you'll see a gap between the body and frame, and bumpers and body. 3" is excessive, and puts more stress on the tub, the effects are very long term though, also requires modifications to shifters and hoses and some junk
personally i'd never suggest one, but 1" body lift to get a little clearance after suspension lift is what would be better. body lift also only makes room for bigger tires, no added suspension travel or performance, and no more clearance.
