255/75/R17 - Any pitfalls at max rim size?
Posting a new thread as I need an answer on this so I can move forward. I'm convinced I want the get the Duratrac in 255/75R17 for my 2011 JK. At the same time, I'm upgrading my wheels. I've decided on the Quadratec MOAB style in Black.
Quadratec Exclusive 92615 2111 - Quadratec Moab Style Alloy Wheel for 07-16 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK in 17x8.5" Size with 4.7" Backspacing - Quadratec
Now, before ordering either, I need to make absolutely sure this tire will fit on this wheel. I see the width of the wheel is 8.5. The max size rim on Goodyear's site says the range for the 255/75R17 is 6.5 to 8.5. So technically this should fit. But are there risks with going on the max side here?
Any help in assuring me these tires fit on these rims would be appreciated. I have the quote from Quadratec and just need to call in to finalize the order.
