Fuel Vapor Wheels -- Lug Nuts, etc. -- Arghhhh

So maybe I can save someone some major time as I am deep in the which lug nuts do I need for the Fuel Vapor Wheels hole.

Setup:
JKU Sahara
Fuel Vapor Wheels 17x9, 5x5, -12 offset, 78.10 bore

Needs:
Hubcentric rings for 78.1 to 71.5. To save someone some time, some shops say you need them and some say it's fine without. The rings are cheap and can only make you more safe is where I came out. The only come in polycarb (no metal this size) and are under $10 online. In the one shop on Long Island that has them, they want $35.

Lug Nuts..... The issue here is the Vapors have deep long holes for the lug nuts. It seems like the closest thing to a consensus is to get 6 Spline conical acorn lug nuts. They need to be 1/2" 20 and you need 23 (the spare takes 3). It seems that you also want them to work with a 3/4" hex so you can use your Wrangler tool.

Here are the open questions where I could use some more help....

The Vapor holes are super deep. Does this mean I should get the extra long 2" tall splines or are the more common 1.38-1.4" ones fine?

Does anyone on Long Island sell these for less than twice the price of the same lugs on reputable web sites?

Please help, I want these puppies on my ride.

UPDATE: Spoke to what seemed to be a reputable installer and the plan is now 6 spline 1/2" 20 OPEN END conical lug nuts. The open ends solve the deep hole problem (obvious joke omitted) and there is a center cap over the lugs so the look is not a factor.
