SYE and CV Driveshaft help.

Does any one no if it is required to have Rear Adjustable Control Arms when installing an SYE and CV Driveshaft? If so, why? According to this website it is required: http://www.4x4xplor.com/SYE-CV.html

I plan on installing my SYE and CV Driveshaft tommorow and I stumbled across this site.

Thanks

You have to adjust the pinion angle up in line with the drive shaft. That's how double cardan drive shafts work.

I talked to Tom Woods and he said that you should be able to get away with only buying a cam bolt kit to get the adjustment that you'll need. Someone let me know if this is not right because I plan on doing the same thing in a few weeks and I really don't want to buy the adjustable control arms if I don't have too.

wow.

That's news to me. 4" of lift with nothing but a cam bolt adjustment.

That's why I buy High Angle. :)

Personally I would just do it right the first time. Get the control arms now. You'll be wanting to buy them some day anyway. :)

Great... I thought I was done spending money for a while!! Front Adjustable Upper Control Arms aren't required are they? Do you guys know if there is anything else required for this install that might be overlooked?

Thanks again.

you shouldn't need any front arms. You will need at least 1 set for the rear. Most people go with uppers.

Just a heads up, Nth degree Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arms from 4x4GroupBuy.com are only $150 for a set.
