Old Man newbie

Last week I posted my first tread about trying to decide between 2 wranglers.
Well nothing to decide now! Yesterday I picked up a 2003 wrangler liberty edition. My first one and I can tell you the steering is quick on it. It handles a lot different than my 2010 f150! Does the 2003 wranglers has a wider wheel base than order 70's jeeps? I'm a moron but reading some of your threads, owners keep talking about their "YJ " and "TJ" Wranglers and I was wondering what they are talking about?

Thanks All Mark

Congrats on your new TJ Mark. The CJ, TJ, YJ and JK denote model years. There are quite a few differences between your TJ and the older models. For one you have coils rather than leaf springs which make them a lot bouncier. So start checking out the TJ section for info pertinent to your model.

YJ is the Wrangler made from 1987-1995, TJ from 1997-2006 (There is no 1996 model) and the JK is 2007-present.
