The Daystars definitely loosen up fairly quickly. My hood is much easier to close now, but it still doesn't flutter.

Doesn't look lifted to me, either. But it's got Daystar (or equivalent) hood latch rubber. Replacing those old factory dog bones is a must-have upgrade, IMO.
