Location has alot to do with it too. Some areas of Pa think they can be tied to the barrel of oil prices, others the gold price. NJ on the other hand prices them like used cars.

I use standard solid winter wiper blades on all our jeeps. Put them on in Nov and take them off in Apr, never had a problem.

Do you have the solid winter blades ? they do make a difference, I swap all 4 jeeps in November, pull the open blades off, replace the inserts with new ones and slap the winter blades on.
