History
I purchased the last remaining new black 2006 Rubicon that I could find. The JK's are nice, but I consider the TJ the last of the true Jeeps because they are more like Jeeps and less like a luxury SUV. As of May 2010, it has 12K fun miles on it.

Having owned a 1983 CJ Laredo and missing it dearly, I believe that the TJ Rubicon is the closest in look and ride that Jeep will ever again get to the classic models.

Modifications

Drivetrain
Mostly stock. Added chrome grill cover to prevent stone chips and because my CJ had one. Bra to prevent stone chips - and it looks good. Headlight bars because they look good. Reversa bars to help the elderly get in and out. White lenses on side markers and blinkers because I hate the orange/yellow look.
Interior
Stock works best for me. But what I like most about Jeeps is how much they can be personalized to each owner's preference.

An example is this extreme makeover jeep with a Dodge Viper engine in it. I've driven a Viper before, but never a Jeep with that kind of power in it.
Exterior
Only added a 2" body lift.
Audio
Minor mods. Cold Air Intake, TB Spacer. Looking to add new TB and manifold. I just have trouble replacing perfectly good parts.
Suspension
Stock
Wheel and Tire
Upgraded to Sony so that I could plug ipod direct in.
