Modifications

Drivetrain
None.
Interior
Gutted the interior of the sunvisor decals, windshield cladding, carpet, faux leather shift boot, console, roll bar padding, etc. Fabricated a new retro-style plain transmission cover panel and altered the transmission shift lever to accomodate a modified Kenworth truck shift lever boot. Added a Jeep console (temporarily) until a welded steel console can be designed, fabricated and installed.

Pending interior changes include the installation of CJ style low back seats and the removal of the back seat.
Exterior
Removed all decals except 'Jeep' decal on the front fenders. Retrofitted an earlier TJ tailgate (without the air vent) and adapted lock to accept the '05's tumbler. Swapped in a (large diameter) early '98 TJ gas cap. Eliminated the third brake light assembly. removed all plastic trim items from front bumper and added Jeep towhooks. Removed decorative rear bumper. Added a dome light kill switch.
Audio
None.
Suspension
None.
Wheel and Tire
Fitted with Dodge OEM plain steel wheels salvaged from a 1980 Ram 1/2 ton pickup. Tires have alternated between military NDCC tires and Deestone D-503 Mud Grips. Both seem to perform equally well in snow.
