I have a 2015 JK it already has a 3.5” lift. I want to order new rear shocks but I noticed that RC has some 1.5”-3.5 and 3.5”-5”. I’m in the middle of those. Which one would fit better? Will I have more articulation in the rear with the longer ones and still drive fine.

I need help figuring out what tires and shocks I have. I got the Jeep pre owned, a 2013, and the previous owner put brand new tires on it which is very lucky, but I don't know of they are 33s or something. I don't know if the shocks are stock either, I want to go offroading but beginner trails...

Bought these, installed them, fully drooped the axle only to find the springs are too short and come unseated. Never driven on. LIKE NEW because they are. $45 OBO PRICE INCLUDES SHIPPPING TO LOWER 48. The TeraFlex Rear Shock Extensions are a great way to increase your lift up to 2.5" while...

So, I've done a few searches, and didn't find what I was looking for... How often should one replace shocks? I just replaced mine, installed by the previous owner. I know they were at least five years old, assuming he installed them to sell the Jeep...so they were probably several years older...

So, gotta plan the shocks to order sooner rather than later... 2 Door JKR, 2" Synergy Progressive springs. With where my bumpstops are currently (2.5" up front, 2" out back) I have 5 inches of up travel available up front, 5.5 inches rear. Doing the math and using a tape measure I'm looking at...

I notice a number build threads and images show outboarded rear upper shock mounts, many using the Ford towers. For some of my planning, I'm wondering what the approximate height difference is from the typical rear outboard mount I'm seeing (right behind the lower control arm, as low as it can...

Hey everyone!, its my first post here on wranglerforum since I just went from an 88 mustang 5.0 to a beautiful 97 jeep wrangler sport 4.0l. I have an issue though that is pretty major. I purchased the vehicle with only 106k miles and the issue is that when the previous owner put in a teraflex...

I have a 1998 CJ with no lift. The new rear shocks (second set) keep sliding off the rubber grommet at the head of the shock. Anyone ever experience this and how did you fix it?

I am in need of some advise right now. I just bought a jeep that has a 2.5 suspension lift on it right now. I need to change my shocks for it though because it is the roughest ride that I have ever been in and I have talked to others with jeeps and newer lifts and they don't seem to have the...

Hey ya'll, I have been parking outside lately in my cinder driveway and don't know how long this leak has been going on. If you guys could take a look, attached is a picture of the leak. I know nothing (yet) about suspension and just wanted to see if any of you could I.D. this issue? The leak...

Hi, I don't know the best way to describe my problem as I'm new to the Jeep world. But I'll do my best. Please bear with me. The bar pin on my rear passenger side shock broke the other day. When I went to install a new pin and screw the shock back underneath the frame, I noticed that one of...

I found a great write up on how to change the rear shock (http://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/how-to-replace-rear-shocks-46392.html. ) I hadthe same thing happen to him that I see the OP did - the shock bushing slid completely off the shock. Both of my shocks bang around like the rear end is about...

So I bought a Groupon coupon for a $19 oil change at the Dealership near my apt and they must have done a full inspection of my TJ because it took an hour and a half. Normally i wouldnt get an oil change at a dealership, but for $19 it seemed worth it. the reason i suspect they did an...

I was wheeling the other day and broke my rear shock mount, and i think i may have damaged my shock. Its a skyjacker nitro 8000, wich is a decent shock, and i wasnt doing anything rediculous. It really should be fine, but how do i tell if i need to replace it?
