Hey there, I've owned/driven Jeeps since I was 16 (Liberty, Patriot, Compass) but have always dreamed of having a Wrangler. This year, I made that dream into a reality when I bought my 1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ. Found it on Facebook Marketplace, flew out to San Diego, and drove it back to...

I'm getting ready to install my winch - new bumper is on, winch has arrived, but I need to relcoate teh vacuum pump. There's various mounting brackets to mount it under the hood, driver side, just behind the wiper reservoir. My problem is I've already mounted my DC relay panel there: Any...

Hey guys ! First post on this forum. I have been a long time reader before I made my account. So my whole story is I got a jeep from my family, the jeep sat for a year, and they had to cut the vacuum lines due to a stray cat eating them up. When I got the jeep, there was no vacuum lines I have...

While making some cable repairs, I want to make sure I have the vacuums right. The black on the right goes to the firewall to provide vacuum. The green goes to the vacuum powered door on the vent. Is anything supposed to go on the Empty nipple? Are they in the right order?

I purchased a 1990 YJ Sahara for my son last fall. The valve train was making a lot of noise. I made arrangements at the local recommended machine shop. when I went to pull the head, ALL the vacuum lines crumbled. They were all dry rotted. Every line and hose cracked, crumbled, broke...

He Y'all, I've got a high idle problem with P1294 code thrown(sometimes) I'm trying to figure out. She'll start out with an idle about right typically when cool, but after she warms up idle will sit anywhere between 1500 and 2000 RPMs. What I've done so far... Cleaned Throttle body and...

First of all, hi and thanks for stopping by :) My new-to-me '02 wrangler (4.0L, NV3550) has been having troubles with A/C. After visiting the forum, I immediately replaced the vacuum line. It runs perfectly now, except that the A/C will segue back to defrost at and only at ~2,000 RPM in 5th...

Hello All, I made a rookie mistake when I started disassembling and forgot to mark my hose connections on the intake manifold. The vehicle is a 1992 2.5L YJ, I was also missing one of the hoses when I purchased the car. Here is my current configuration: (1) Nothing (is this where the MAP...

Yesterday I turned on my '94 YJ and heard a loud hissing noise. I should have stopped and taken a look right then, but I had to be at work, so I drove it. Other than the hissing, the Jeep drove great on the way to work. As I drove home, my brakes began to feel weak (I had to press down a lot...

Hello everyone, So my brakes are not working properly. Whenever my 2012 JKUR sits over night, I go to back out of my driveway the next day (which is at an incline) and the brake pedal gets really hard and won't push down. I push it as hard as I can and it finally (very slowly) comes to a stop...

I'm 18 and have no experience with fixing cars, my jeep keeps breaking down and I've managed to fix it up to this point but the pictures I took of the vacuum hoses weren't very good and now I have no idea where to connect them. I have a 2.5L 1990 Jeep Wrangler, I'll attach some pictures along...

Two days ago I finished my swap to an electric cooling fan, trying to squeeze a little more horsepower and MPG out of the Jeep. As soon as I started the engine up without the stock fan on it, I could hear every little sound the engine was making that I could not hear over the stock fan noise...

95 with the 4.0L and 5 speed tranny. When the air temp is cold, 20 degrees, it idles fine until the motor warms up. When it is 40+ out the idle will rev up then drop to almost a stall. The friend of mine that I'm buying the Jeep from was told by a mechanic that it is the fuel pump. Any thoughts?

Hey all. I recently bought a 1988 Wrangler and I love it, but I have encountered some small issues and was hoping someone might be willing or able to help out. You will have to forgive my ignorance for I am new to the jeep world! I have noticed a vacuum seal leak and could hear it, so I...

'89 2.5L, Standard. All Stock. My vacuum lines from the old harness were all cracked, and I didn't realize it for awhile, so I was running it for probably a few thousand miles like this. It wasn't a problem though, because it stayed in 2wd fine and I didn't need the 4wd. Anyways, I replaced...
