I'm helping a buddy out that has a 05' TJ that he's having an issue.
PROBLEM:
1. When turning the key, the Jeep doesn't try to start.
2. When the key is turned and the lights and radio are on, they don't die. The continue working as normal while trying to start it.
THINGS WE HAVE DONE:
1. Replaced, ignition switch and Ignition Switch Actuator Pin.
*** The metal around the Ignition Switch Actuator Pin was broken.
2. Replaced Neutral Safety Switch - suggested by local parts dealer.
3. ** I haven't done this but another friend that's a mechanic helped with this** Tested the starter and solenoid - both were working.
MY QUESTION:
1. Could the crankshaft position sensor cause the above issue?
2. Any other suggestions?
